January of 2020 I was traveling Thailand with my little sister. Prior to the trip, I had unplugged myself from much of the world. I deactivated every social media account, some longer than others (FB is the spawn of satan). And at the time I hadn’t watched the news in over two years. 

In our hotel room, my sister asked if I heard of Covid … Nope! We turned on the tv and that’s when I was engulfed.
